Public transports have made travelling easy and money efficient. Mumbai is a densely populated city, has a railway and bus system that covers a large area. It is principal that this system of transportation is optimal in every possible aspect. Buses running in Mumbai are operated by Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport. Considering the ample number of buses, scheduling and routing is a primary requirement. As of 2015, the number of BEST buses is around 3600. The number of newly released, smaller buses is around 450 as of November 2019. The method that BEST is currently using is erroneous and incompetent in a way that it only updates its fleet distribution after every four months. This update is done manually and hence is prone to inconsistency. Also most of the time, the calculation is done on random assumptions in remote areas which creates inaccuracy of actual examination of the same. With these limitations in mind and considering the dynamic attributes of traffic, a solution is proposed to take into account not only the scheduling of normal buses but also the smaller buses that have been newly introduced in some areas. Our work uses ARIMA, LSTM and IndRNN methods to forecast the trips and make an adequate time table for all buses.
