To suppress the current harmonics of permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSM), a quasi-resonant active disturbance rejection control (QRADRC) with harmonic extractor method is proposed. The quasi-resonant controller (QRC) is embedded in the control law and operates in parallel with the extended state observer (ESO). The conventional ESO is employed to estimate DC disturbances, while the parallel QRC is utilized to estimate AC disturbances. The three-phase currents are extracted through a harmonic extractor for voltage compensation under αβ coordinate. As a result, the new QRADRC can effectively suppress DC disturbances such as those caused by motor parameter variations, and also greatly improve the suppression of current harmonic AC disturbances with stronger robustness. The effectiveness of QRADRC is verified by simulations.
