We investigate higher mode structure of a weakly guiding anisotropic optical fiber, in which the anisotropy axis rotates in a transverse plane with z increasing. The "exact" analytical solution of the vector wave equation for this problem is presented based on the effective reduction of a twisted fiber to a straight one. It is demonstrated that at certain values of the anisotropy pitch l=1 modes of such fibers are almost pure linear optical vortices. Polarization corrections to the propagation constant are found.
