Metal-dielectric (MDG) and parallel curved plate (PCP) waveguides were examined as guiding structures in sub-MMW and THz bands. Quasi-optical techniques are used to efficiently generate operational LM/sub 11/ mode providing minimum losses and effective filtering of parasitics. Structure and parameters for MDG based set of passive elements are presented.
