The present invention relates to a regenerative braking system and a control method thereof. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the regenerative braking system comprises: a battery charged with a high voltage and providing a driving voltage of a motor; an air conditioning system adjusting a temperature of the battery; and a controller calculating a driving torque and a regenerative braking power amount based on deceleration and acceleration information, calculating an excess regenerative power amount exceeding an allowable charging amount of the battery from the regenerative braking power amount, and driving the air conditioning system by distributing the excess regenerative power amount to the air conditioning system.
본 발명은 회생제동 시스템 및 이의 제어방법에 관한 것으로, 본 발명의 실시 예에 의한 회생제동 시스템은 고전압이 충전되고 모터의 구동전압을 제공하는 배터리, 배터리의 온도를 조절하는 공조 시스템 및 감가속 정보를 바탕으로 구동 토크 및 회생제동 전력량을 계산하고, 회생제동 전력량에서 배터리의 충전 허용량을 초과하는 초과 회생 전력량을 계산하며, 초과 회생 전력량을 공조 시스템에 분배하여 공조 시스템을 구동하는 제어기를 포함할 수 있다.
