The present invention relates to a device for detecting a deformation of an Escalator driving chain such as sagging. In regard to an escalator including a driving sprocket rotating an escalator step, a driver comprising a motor and a decelerator, and a driving chain connecting the driver with the driving sprocket, the device includes: a magnet rotated by being attached to a part of a rotary surface rotated around a driveshaft of the driver or the motor; a Hall sensor installed on a position opposed to the rotary surface to detect the passage of the magnet; and a control unit counting magnet passage signals outputted from the Hall sensor to determine whether the driving chain is deformed and display the condition thereof on a display unit or spread the same to the outside through a communication unit. Therefore, the present invention is capable of minimizing user inconvenience by completing maintenance work within a short time.

    본 발명은 에스컬레이터 구동체인의 늘어짐과 같은 변형을 감지하는 장치에 관한 것으로, 에스컬레이터 스텝을 회전시키는 구동 스프로킷과, 전동기와 감속기로 구성되는 구동기와, 상기 구동기와 상기 구동 스프로킷을 연결하는 구동체인을 포함하는 에스컬레이터에 있어서, 상기 구동기 혹은 상기 전동기의 구동축을 중심으로 하여 회전하는 회전면 일부에 부착되어 회전하는 자석과; 상기 회전면과 마주하는 위치에 설치되어 상기 자석의 통과를 감지하기 위한 홀 센서와; 상기 홀 센서로부터 출력되는 자석통과신호를 카운트하여 상기 구동체인의 변형 여부를 판단하고 그 상태를 표시부에 표시하거나 통신부를 통해 외부로 전파하는 제어부;를 포함함을 특징으로 한다.
