An object detection method of a vehicle LiDAR system according to the embodiment includes the steps of: calculating a representative vector value representing the amount of movement change of LiDAR point data from the previous time to the current time based on the LiDAR point data of the previous time and the current time of a tracking object; and extracting heading information of the tracking object based on the representative vector value. According to the present invention, the heading information of an object can be accurately obtained.

    실시 예에 의한 차량용 라이다 시스템의 객체 검출 방법은, 추적 객체의 이전 시점의 라이다 포인트 데이터와 현재 시점의 라이다 포인트 데이터에 기초하여, 상기 이전 시점에서부터 상기 현재 시점까지 상기 라이다 포인트 데이터의 이동 변화량을 대표하는 대표 벡터값을 산출하는 단계; 및 상기 대표 벡터값에 기초하여 상기 추적 객체의 헤딩 정보를 추출하는 단계;를 포함한다.
