The present invention relates to a battery pack assembly capable of emitting a venting gas generated in a battery pack assembly to the outside, and a venting gas emitting method. The battery pack assembly comprises: a plurality of battery modules; a housing member which accommodates the plurality of battery modules; a cooling fan which is accommodated in an area not overlapped with the battery module in the inside of the housing member, and selectively controls an air flowing direction; and a flow path unit which is extended from both side surfaces of the housing member to introduce or emit air cooling the battery module from/to the outside, and when the battery module abnormally operates, emits the venting gas. According to the present invention, the battery pack assembly can effectively block the venting gas from introducing to the inside of a vehicle and effectively emit the venting gas inside the battery pack to the outside of the vehicle.

    본 발명은 배터리 팩 어셈블리 내부에 발생된 벤팅 가스를 외부로 배출시킬 수 있는 배터리 팩 어셈블리 및 벤팅 가스 배출 방법에 관한 것으로서, 다수개로 이루어진 배터리 모듈; 다수개의 상기 배터리 모듈을 수용하는 하우징 부재; 상기 하우징 부재의 내부에서 상기 배터리 모듈과 겹치지 않은 영역에 수용되고, 공기의 이동 방향을 선택적으로 제어하는 냉각팬; 및 상기 하우징 부재의 양측면으로부터 연장되어 외부로부터 상기 배터리 모듈을 냉각시키는 공기가 유입 또는 배출되고, 상기 배터리 모듈의 이상 동작 발생 시, 벤팅 가스(VENTING GAS)가 배출되는 유로부를 포함한다.
