The present invention relates to a method for equalizing state of charge (SOC) of a battery pack of a vehicle. The purpose of the present invention is to realize equalization of SOC between battery packs mounted in a vehicle. The method for equalizing SOC of a battery pack of a vehicle comprises: a first step of determining an average SOC value of the battery packs and an average SOC value of battery cells configuring each battery pack based on an SOC value of the battery packs mounted in the vehicle and an SOC value of the battery cells configuring each battery pack; a second step of determining whether discharge of the battery pack for SOC equalization between the battery packs is required in the entire battery packs mounted in the vehicle; a third step of determining whether the discharge of the battery cell for the SOC equalization between the battery cells is required in the entire battery cells configuring each battery pack; and a fourth step of enabling the battery cell to be discharged by operating electric load connected to the battery cell requiring the discharge, and then, enabling the battery pack to be discharged by operating the electric load connected to the battery pack requiring the discharge when it is determined that the discharge of the battery pack is required in the second step and it is determined that the discharge of the battery cell is required in the third step.

    본 발명은 차량의 배터리팩 용량 균등화 방법에 관한 것으로, 차량에 탑재된 배터리팩들 간에 용량(State of Charge, SOC) 균등화를 구현하는 차량의 배터리팩 용량 균등화 방법을 제공하는 것에 목적이 있다.
