The present invention relates to a method for equalizing a state of charge of a battery pack. A purpose thereof is to provide a method for equalizing a state of charge (SOC) between battery packs in an electric vehicle. To achieve the purpose, the method the following steps of: enabling a controller to obtain state of charge (SOC) information of battery packs from battery pack state information obtained through a state detector in a vehicle state under a predetermined condition; enabling the controller to determine an average SOC value of the battery packs based on the obtained SOC value of each of the battery packs; enabling the controller to determine a battery pack requiring discharging to equalize the SOC between the battery packs, from among all of the battery packs, based on the SOC value of each of the battery packs and the determined average SOC value of the battery packs; and enabling the controller to control an electric load connected with the determined battery pack requiring discharging such that the electric load can be operated, thereby causing the corresponding battery pack to be discharged through the operation of the electric load.
본 발명은 배터리팩 용량 균등화 방법에 관한 것으로서, 전기자동차에서 배터리팩 간 용량(State of Charge, SOC)을 균등화할 수 있는 방법을 제공하는데 주된 목적이 있는 것이다. 상기한 목적을 달성하기 위해, 제어기에 의해, 미리 정해진 조건의 차량 상태에서 상태 검출기를 통해 얻어지는 배터리팩 상태 정보로부터 배터리팩들의 SOC(State of Charge) 정보가 취득되는 단계; 제어기에 의해, 상기 취득된 각 배터리팩의 SOC 값을 기초로 배터리팩들의 SOC 평균값이 결정되는 단계; 제어기에 의해, 상기 각 배터리팩의 SOC 값과 상기 결정된 배터리팩들의 SOC 평균값을 기초로, 전체 배터리팩 중에서 배터리팩들 간 SOC 균등화를 위해 방전이 필요한 배터리팩이 결정되는 단계; 및 제어기에 의해, 상기 결정된 방전이 필요한 배터리팩에 연결된 전기부하가 작동되도록 제어되어, 상기 전기부하의 작동으로 해당 배터리팩의 방전이 이루어지는 단계를 포함하는 전기자동차의 배터리팩 용량 균등화 방법이 개시된다.
