Provided in one embodiment of the present invention is an electric brake, which comprises: a first pedal sensor which generates a first braking signal by detecting a stepping amount of a brake pedal; a second pedal sensor which generates a second braking signal by detecting the stepping amount of the brake pedal; a third pedal sensor which generates a third braking signal by detecting the stepping amount of the brake pedal and includes an auxiliary control unit; a plurality of wheel control units which are individually attached to a plurality of wheels to control the wheels; a first central control unit which calculates a required braking amount after receiving the first braking signal, and is configured to transmit a signal related to the required braking amount (referred to as "a required braking amount signal" hereinafter) to the plurality of wheel control units; a second central control unit which calculates a required braking amount after receiving the second braking signal, and is configured to transmit the required braking amount signal to the plurality of wheel control units; and a first controller area network (CAN) communication unit which is configured to deliver the signal among the auxiliary control unit, the first central control unit, the second central control unit, and the plurality of wheel control units. Therefore, braking force may be generated only with the wheel control unit.
본 개시의 일 실시예에 의하면, 브레이크페달의 답입량을 감지하여 제1 제동신호를 생성하는 제1 페달센서(first pedal sensor); 브레이크페달의 답입량을 감지하여 제2 제동신호를 생성하는 제2 페달센서(second pedal sensor); 브레이크페달의 답입량을 감지하여 제3 제동신호를 생성하고 보조제어부(auxiliary control unit)를 포함하는 제3 페달센서(third pedal sensor); 복수의 휠에 각각 부착되어 휠을 제어하는 복수의 휠제어부(wheel control unit); 제1 제동신호를 수신하여 필요제동량을 연산하고, 복수의 휠제어부로 필요제동량에 관한 신호(이하, '필요제동량 신호')를 송신하도록 구성된 제1 중앙제어부(first central control unit); 제2 제동신호를 수신하여 필요제동량을 연산하고, 복수의 휠제어부로 필요제동량 신호를 송신하도록 구성된 제2 중앙제어부(second central control unit); 및 보조제어부, 제1 중앙제어부, 제2 중앙제어부 및 복수의 휠제어부 사이의 신호를 전달하도록 구성된 제1 CAN 통신부(first Controller Area Network communications unit)를 포함하는 전동식 브레이크를 제공한다.
