Disclosed is an insulation structure of a cargo tank that forms a leak path for fluid flowing out through a damaged area of a primary barrier through an open cell layer surrounding the primary barrier and improves the insulation effect together with a closed cell layer and a protective layer. According to an embodiment of the present invention, an insulation structure of a cargo tank comprises: an open cell which that surrounds a primary barrier in contact with cryogenic fluid inside a cargo tank and forms a leak path so that the leaked fluid can flow through the primary barrier; a closed cell layer stacked on top of the open cell layer; and a protective layer stacked on top of the closed cell layer. In the open cell layer, support blocks for supporting a load acting on the protective layer are disposed at set intervals.
