The present invention relates to a method for increasing a braking force using an engine brake force of a vehicle and, more specifically, to a method for increasing a braking force using an engine brake force of a vehicle which can increase a braking force using an engine brake force according to a road surface friction coefficient. The present invention provides a method for increasing a braking force using an engine brake force of a vehicle, which, with the engine brake force, compensates for a deficient brake force range of an actual power, generated by a brake system, as compared with a desired braking force needed for braking while being capable of increasing the braking force and at the same time reducing a load of a general brake (frictional brake) by using the engine brake force as a braking force in consideration with road surface friction coefficients in accordance with seasonal environment conditions, road conditions, etc., thereby reducing the size of a brake or the like.

    본 발명은 차량의 엔진브레이크력을 이용한 제동력 증대 방법에 관한 것으로서, 더욱 상세하게는 노면 마찰계수에 따라 엔진브레이크력을 사용하여 제동력을 증대시킬 수 있도록 한 차량의 엔진브레이크력을 이용한 제동력 증대 방법에 관한 것이다. 즉, 본 발명은 제동시 필요로 하는 이상 제동력과 브레이크 시스템에서 발생하는 실제동력의 부족한 제동력 영역을 엔진브레이크력으로 보상하되, 계절별 환경 조건 및 도로 조건 등에 따른 노면 마찰계수를 고려하여, 엔진브레이크력을 제동력으로 사용함으로써, 일반 브레이크(마찰 브레이크)의 부하를 저감하는 동시에 제동력 증대가 가능하여, 브레이크 사이즈 축소 등을 실현할 수 있도록 한 차량의 엔진브레이크력을 이용한 제동력 증대 방법을 제공하고자 한 것이다.
