본 발명은 차량의 엔진브레이크력을 이용한 제동력 증대 방법에 관한 것으로서, 더욱 상세하게는 노면 마찰계수에 따라 엔진브레이크력을 사용하여 제동력을 증대시킬 수 있도록 한 차량의 엔진브레이크력을 이용한 제동력 증대 방법에 관한 것이다. 즉, 본 발명은 제동시 필요로 하는 이상 제동력과 브레이크 시스템에서 발생하는 실제동력의 부족한 제동력 영역을 엔진브레이크력으로 보상하되, 계절별 환경 조건 및 도로 조건 등에 따른 노면 마찰계수를 고려하여, 엔진브레이크력을 제동력으로 사용함으로써, 일반 브레이크(마찰 브레이크)의 부하를 저감하는 동시에 제동력 증대가 가능하여, 브레이크 사이즈 축소 등을 실현할 수 있도록 한 차량의 엔진브레이크력을 이용한 제동력 증대 방법을 제공하고자 한 것이다.

    The present invention relates to a method for increasing braking force by using engine brake force of a vehicle. More specifically, the method for increasing braking force by using engine brake force of a vehicle uses engine brake force according to a road surface friction coefficient to increase braking force. Thus, the present invention compensates for ideal braking force required in braking and shortage in a braking force area of actual driving force generated in a braking system with engine brake force in consideration of the road surface friction coefficient according to a seasonal environment condition, a road condition, and the like for using the engine brake force as braking force. As such, the load of an ordinary brake (a friction brake) can be reduced and simultaneously braking force can be increased. Thus, the method for increasing braking force by using engine brake force of a vehicle is able to realize reduction in a brake size and the like.
