The present invention relates to a vehicle collision prevention system, and a collision prevention method using the same. The vehicle collision prevention system comprises: a first light source disposed on a left side of a vehicle; a second light source disposed on a right side of the vehicle; a camera disposed at the center of the vehicle to provide a shape, which is formed by irradiation of light emitted from the first and second light sources to an object, as image information; an image decipher unit generating braking information based on the image information; and a braking device reducing speed of the vehicle or performing a braking motion for stopping the vehicle based on the braking information.

    본 발명은 차량 충돌 방지 시스템 및 이를 이용한 충돌 방지 시스템에 관한 것으로, 차량의 좌측에 배치된 제 1 광원, 상기 차량의 우측에 배치된 제 2 광원, 상기 차량의 중앙에 배치되어, 상기 제 1 및 제 2 광원으로부터 방출된 광이 오브젝트에 조사되어 나타내어지는 형상을 이미지 정보로서 제공하는 카메라, 상기 이미지 정보에 기초하여 제동 정보를 생성하는 영상 판독부, 및 상기 제동 정보에 기초하여 상기 차량의 속도를 감소시키거나 상기 차량을 정차시키는 제동 동작을 수행하는 제동 장치를 포함할 수 있다.
