A battery module regeneration method based on a discharge balance test according to the present invention is executed through a battery regeneration device for regenerating a vehicle waste battery collected after being used in an eco-friendly vehicle, and comprises the steps of: preparing a battery module of a waste battery including an N (N>=2) number of battery cells; charging the battery module to a specified highest charging voltage through a module connection terminal connected to a power terminal of the battery module; performing a procedure of discharging the charged battery module to a specified lowest discharge voltage through the module connection terminal; checking balance information including a discharge voltage difference between the N number of battery cells provided in the battery module through a cell connection terminal connected to a cell terminal of the battery module when the battery module is discharged; performing a balance test to determine whether a discharge voltage difference between the N number of battery cells included in the balance information matches a preset discharge voltage effective balance range; and performing regeneration by charging, to a specified rated voltage, the N number of battery cells included in the battery module discharged to the specified lowest discharge voltage in a state in which the discharge voltage difference between the N number of battery cells is matched to the preset discharge voltage effective balance range.

    본 발명의 방전 밸런스 검사 기반 배터리모듈 재생 방법에 따르면, 친환경 차량에 사용되다가 회수된 차량용 폐배터리를 재생하는 배터리 재생장치를 통해 실행되는 방법에 있어서, N(N≥2)개의 배터리셀을 포함하는 폐배터리의 배터리모듈을 준비하고, 상기 배터리모듈의 전원 단자와 연결되는 모듈 연결 단자를 통해 상기 배터리모듈을 지정된 최대 충전 전압까지 충전하고, 상기 모듈 연결 단자를 통해 상기 충전된 배터리모듈을 지정된 최저 방전 전압까지 방전하는 절차를 수행하고, 상기 배터리모듈을 방전 시, 상기 배터리모듈의 셀 단자와 연결되는 셀 연결 단자를 통해 상기 배터리모듈에 구비된 N개의 배터리셀 간 방전 전압 차이를 포함하는 밸런스 정보를 확인하고, 상기 밸런스 정보에 포함된 N개의 배터리셀 간 방전 전압 차이가 기 설정된 방전 전압 유효 밸런스 범위에 매칭되는지 판단하는 밸런스 검사를 수행하며, 상기 N개의 배터리셀 간 방전 전압 차이가 기 설정된 방전 전압 유효 밸런스 범위에 매칭된 상태로 지정된 최저 방전 전압까지 방전된 배터리모듈에 포함된 N개의 배터리셀을 지정된 정격 전압까지 충전하여 재생한다.
