An embodiment of the present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for decoding a road friction coefficient, the apparatus which learns labeling data labeling road friction coefficient data calculated from ESC using road image data obtained from a camera to accurately estimate road friction coefficient information using only an image of the camera even during normal driving and then provides the information to a requiring control device as driving control information to improve stability of an autonomous vehicle.

    본 실시예는, 카메라로부터 확보한 노면 영상 데이터에 ESC로 계산한 노면 마찰계수 데이터를 라벨링한 라벨링 데이터를 학습시킴으로써 일반 주행 시에도 카메라의 영상만으로도 노면 마찰계수 정보를 정확하게 추정할 수 있도록 하며, 이를 주행 제어정보로서 필요한 제어기기에 제공함으로써 자율 주행 차량에 대한 안정성을 향상 가능토록 하는 노면 마찰계수 판독장치 및 그 방법에 관한 것이다.
