Disclosed is a device for controlling regenerative braking capable of preventing overvoltage generation by adjusting an amount of regenerative braking by determining whether a resistor supporting regenerative braking is failed. The device for controlling regenerative braking comprises: a resistor assembly having at least one resistor where cooling water circulates; and a vehicle controller determining whether the resistor is failed based on temperature information of the cooling tower generated by using at least one sensor to control the amount of regenerative braking through control of a motor.

    회생제동을 보조하는 레지스터의 고장 유무를 판단하여 회생 제동량을 조절하여 과전압 생성을 방지할 수 있는 회생 제동 제어 장치가 개시된다. 상기 회생 제동 제어 장치는, 냉각수가 순환하는 적어도 하나의 레지스터를 갖는 레지스터 조립체, 및 적어도 하나의 센서를 이용하여 생성되는 상기 냉각수의 온도 정보를 기반으로 상기 레지스터의 고장 유무를 판단하여 모터의 제어를 통해 회생 제동량을 조절하는 차량 제어기를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
