An indirect tire pressure monitoring device according to an embodiment includes: a wheel speed sensor that detects a wheel speed of each wheel; a yaw rate sensor that detects a yaw rate of a vehicle; and a control unit that determines a difference in relative dynamic radius between respective tires based on each wheel speed sensed through the wheel speed sensor, the yaw rate sensed through the yaw rate sensor, and vehicle′s wheel torque, creates a plurality of dimensionless indexes by combining the determined relative dynamic radius differences, and estimates the pressure of each tire by comparing the generated dimensionless indexes with a preset index table.

    일 실시예에 따른 간접식 타이어 압력 모니터링 장치는 각 바퀴의 휠 속도를 감지하는 휠 속도센서와, 차량의 요레이트를 감지하는 요레이트센서 및 휠 속도센서를 통해 감지된 각 휠 속도, 요레이트센서를 통해 감지된 요레이트 및 차량의 휠 토크를 근거로 각 타이어간의 상대 동반경 차이를 판단하고, 판단된 상대 동반경 차이들을 조합하여 복수의 무차원 인덱스를 생성하고, 생성된 복수의 무차원 인덱스를 미리 설정된 인덱스 테이블과 비교하여 각 타이어의 압력을 추정하는 제어부를 포함한다.
