The present invention relates to: a thermoplastic transparent resin composition for a wheel rust cover, which is excellent in transparency and impact strength, and is suitable for a vacuum compression thermoforming process; and a method for manufacturing the same. Specifically, the thermoplastic transparent resin composition for the wheel rust cover comprises: 20 to 60 wt% of a graft copolymer; 40 to 70 wt% of a non-graft copolymer; and 3 to 10 wt% of a processing material, wherein a total content of rubber is 10 to 25 wt%, a total content of a methacrylic alkyl ester compound is 34 to 67 wt%, a total content of an aromatic vinyl compound is 16 to 40 wt%, and a total content of a vinyl cyan compound is 0 to 10 wt%.
본 발명은 투명도 및 충격강도가 우수하면서도 진공 압축 열성형 공정에 적합한 휠 러스트 커버용 열가소성 투명 수지 조성물 및 이의 제조방법에 관한 것이다. 구체적으로 상기 휠 러스트 커버용 열가소성 투명 수지 조성물은 그라프트 공중합체 20중량% 내지 60중량%, 비그라프트 공중합체 40중량% 내지 70중량% 및 가공조제 3중량% 내지 10중량%를 포함하고, 총 고무 함량이 10중량% 내지 25중량%이며, 총 메타크릴산 알킬 에스테르 화합물 함량이 34중량% 내지 67중량%이고, 총 방향족 비닐 화합물 함량이 16중량% 내지 40중량%이며, 총 비닐 시안 화합물 함량이 0중량% 내지 10중량%인 것을 특징으로 한다.
