The present invention provides an electrode capable of realizing a non-aqueous electrolyte battery having excellent lifetime performance. According to an embodiment of the present invention, an electrode (1) is provided. The electrode (1) comprises a current collector (1a), and an active material containing layer (1b) formed on the current collector (1a). The active material containing layer (1b) comprises active material particles (11) and insulator particles (12). The active material containing layer (1b) has a first surface (1b-1) facing the current collector (1a), and a second surface (1b-2) serving as a surface of the active material containing layer (1b). At least a part of the second surface (1b-2) comprises the insulator particles (12). In the active material containing layer (1b), the volume ration of the insulator particles (12) is reduced from the second surface (1b-2) toward the first surface (1b-1).
본 발명은 우수한 수명 성능을 나타낼 수 있는 비수전해질 전지를 실현할 수 있는 전극을 제공하는 것이다. 실시 형태에 의하면, 전극(1)이 제공된다. 전극(1)은, 집전체(1a)와, 집전체(1a) 상에 형성된 활물질 함유층(1b)을 구비한다. 활물질 함유층(1b)은, 활물질 입자(11)와, 절연체 입자(12)를 포함한다. 활물질 함유층(1b)은, 집전체(1a)에 면하는 제1면(1b-1)과, 활물질 함유층(1b)의 표면으로서의 제2면(1b-2)을 갖는다. 제2면(1b-2)의 적어도 일부가, 절연체 입자(12)를 포함하고 있다. 활물질 함유층(1b)에 있어서, 절연체 입자(12)의 체적 비율은, 제2면(1b-2)으로부터 제1면(1b-1)을 향해서 감소되어 있다.
