The present invention relates to a shock absorber for a train having a piston valve structure differentiating an inner portion of a cylinder charged with fluid into a compression chamber and a tension chamber. The piston valve comprises: a body formed with a main flow path so that fluid can be flowed when compression stroke and tension stroke are performed; a valve disc for blocking an output side of the main flow path by being stuck to an upper portion and a lower portion of the body, and generating reduction force by opening the output side of the main flow path when compression stroke and tension stroke are performed; and an asymmetrical disc closely supporting a rear surface of the valve disc in the upper portion and the lower portion of the body, and concavely formed in an initial opening location of the valve disc so as to be opened sequentially along an edge portion from the initial opening location of the valve disc, thereby capable of realizing smooth reduction force without a blow off phenomenon.

    본 발명의 철도 차량용 완충기는, 유체가 충전된 실린더의 내부를 압축챔버 및 인장챔버로 구분하는 피스톤 밸브구조를 갖는 철도 차량용 완충기에 있어서, 상기 피스톤 밸브는, 압축 및 인장 행정시 유체가 이동되도록 메인 유로가 형성되는 몸체와, 상기 몸체의 상부와 하부에 밀착되어 상기 메인 유로의 출측을 차단하며, 압축 및 인장 행정시 상기 메인 유로의 출측을 개방시켜 감쇠력을 발생시키는 밸브 디스크 및, 상기 몸체의 상부와 하부에서 상기 밸브 디스크의 배면을 밀착 지지하며, 상기 밸브 디스크의 초기 개방위치에 오목하게 형성되어 상기 밸브 디스크의 초기 개방위치로부터 테두리 부위를 따라 순차적으로 개방되도록 절개홈이 형성되는 비대칭 디스크를 포함한다.
