The present invention relates to a steering control apparatus which comprises: a detection unit detecting a vehicle speed, a steering angle, first transverse acceleration, and a steering angular speed; an estimation unit estimating second transverse acceleration based on the vehicle speed and the steering angle; and a control unit controlling a steering apparatus for steering torque to be increased on the basis of a slip gradient which is a difference value between the first transverse acceleration and the second transverse acceleration, and releasing steering apparatus control when the steering angular speed is reversed.

    본 발명은 차속, 조향각, 제1 횡가속도 및 조향각속도를 감지하는 감지부와 차속 및 조향각에 기초하여 제2 횡가속도를 추정하는 추정부 및 제1 횡가속도와 제2 횡가속도의 차이값의 크기인 슬립변화도(Slip Gradient)에 기초하여 조타토크가 증가하도록 조향장치를 제어하되, 조향각속도가 반전되면 조향장치 제어를 해지하는 제어부를 포함하는 조향 제어 장치에 관한 것이다.
