The present invention relates to an automatic vehicle speed control device, and an automatic vehicle speed control method. The present invention comprises: a sensing unit sensing information on the position of a target vehicle and an advancing vehicle positioned on a front side of the target vehicle; an automatic vehicle speed control unit calculating target torque of the current position of the target vehicle by using the position information; an automatic vehicle speed modeling unit generating a target torque profile for a preset section from the current position of the target vehicle; and a control unit controlling drive of the target vehicle by using the target torque and the target torque profile.

    본 발명은 자동 차속 제어 장치 및 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명은 목표 차량 및 목표 차량의 전방에 위치한 선행 차량의 위치 정보를 감지하는 감지부, 위치 정보를 이용하여 목표 차량의 현재 위치에 대한 목표 요구 토크를 산출하는 자동 차속 제어부, 목표 차량의 현재 위치로부터 미리 설정된 구간 동안 목표 요구 토크 프로파일을 생성하는 자동 차속 모델링부, 및 목표 요구 토크 및 목표 요구 토크 프로파일을 이용하여 목표 차량의 구동을 제어하는 제어부를 포함한다.
