The present invention relates to an apparatus for diagnosing a fault of a battery system. The apparatus for diagnosing a fault of a battery system includes: an alternator sensor detecting a first voltage which is a generation voltage of an alternator; a battery sensor detecting a second voltage which is a self voltage of a battery; and an engine control unit receiving the first voltage and the second voltage from the alternator sensor and the battery sensor to calculate a difference value of subtracting the second voltage from the first voltage, and diagnosing a fault according to a battery terminal fastening fault or battery performance deterioration, based on the calculated difference value and a diagnosis time.
본 발명의 배터리 시스템 고장진단 장치는 알터네이터의 발전 전압인 제1 전압을 검출하는 알터네이터 센서; 배터리의 자체 전압인 제2 전압을 검출하는 배터리 센서; 및 알터네이터 센서와 배터리 센서로부터 제1 전압과 제2 전압을 수신하여 제1 전압에서 제2 전압을 뺀 차이값을 산출하고, 산출된 차이값과 진단시간에 기반하여 배터리 단자 체결불량 또는 배터리 성능저하에 따른 고장을 진단하는 엔진제어유닛;을 포함할 수 있다.
