Disclosed are a brake apparatus for a vehicle, and a method for controlling the same. According to the present invention, the brake apparatus for a vehicle comprises: a suspension spring installed in a plurality of shock absorbers; a first distance measurement unit installed in the suspension spring; a second distance measurement unit installed in the suspension spring to be spaced from the first distance measurement unit and measuring a distance from the first distance measurement unit; and a control unit receiving a signal related to a distance value between the first distance measurement unit and the second distance measurement unit measured by the second distance measurement unit, calculating a load value corresponding to a vehicle wheel by comparing a received distance value and a reference distance value, and controlling a reference braking ratio to an actual braking ratio in accordance with the calculated load value. The purpose of the present invention is to provide the method for controlling the brake apparatus for a vehicle, and the brake apparatus for a vehicle which is capable of controlling the braking ratio of the vehicle wheel in accordance with a load applied to the vehicle wheel.

    차량용 제동장치 및 그 제어방법에 대한 발명이 개시된다. 본 발명의 차량용 제동장치는: 복수의 쇼크업쇼버에 설치되는 서스펜션 스프링; 서스펜션 스프링에 설치되는 제1 거리 측정부; 제1 거리 측정부와 이격되도록 서스펜션 스프링에 설치되고, 제1 거리 측정부와의 거리를 측정하는 제2 거리 측정부; 및 제2 거리 측정부에서 측정되는 제1 거리 측정부와 제2 거리 측정부 사이의 거리값에 관한 신호를 수신받고, 수신된 거리값와 기준 거리값을 비교하여 차륜에 대응되는 하중값을 산출하고, 산출된 하중값에 따라 기준 제동 비율을 실제 제동 비율로 조절하는 제어부를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
