The present invention relates to a system and a method for supporting recognition of a pedestrian during night driving. The system for supporting recognition of a pedestrian during night driving comprises: an infrared ray lighting unit which is mounted in a vehicle in order to radiate infrared rays; a camera unit which is mounted in the vehicle in order to obtain visible ray images and near-infrared ray images; and a display unit which displays the visible ray images and the near-infrared ray images on a screen. Therefore, the system and the method can support a driver in recognizing a pedestrian using near-infrared ray images during night driving.

    본 발명은 야간 차량 주행중 보행자 인식 지원 시스템 및 방법에 관한 것으로, 본 발명에 따른 시스템은 야간 차량 주행중 보행자 인식 지원 시스템은 차량에 탑재되어 적외선을 조사하는 적외선 조명부, 상기 차량에 탑재되어 가시광 영상 및 근적외선 영상을 획득하는 카메라부, 그리고 상기 가시광 영상과 상기 근적외선 영상을 화면에 표시하는 디스플레이부를 포함한다.
