A steering system in a vehicle of the present invention comprises: left and right Ackerman adjusters (20, 20-1) to vary Ackerman tendencies of left and right wheels (LW, RW), respectively, in which steering is performed; and a controller (30) to control the left and right Ackerman adjusters (20, 20-1) with an opened loop control logic (A) or a closed loop control logic (B). At the time of turning at a low speed, the length of a tie rod connected to a turning outer ring is extended to be set to an Ackerman tendency one hundred percent, whereas, at the time of turning at a high speed, the length of the tie rod connected to a turning inner ring is shortened to be set to an anti-Ackerman tendency, by which the Ackerman tendency is optimally controlled all the time in accordance with the vehicle′s driving state, and, specifically, the Ackerman tendency uses a turning mechanism by a change in the length of the tie rod end (17-1,17-2) directly connected to the left and right wheels (LW,RW) to maintain an initially set optimal value of the Ackerman tendency all the time.

    본 발명의 차량 조향장치에는 조타가 이루어지는 좌,우 휠(LW,RW)의 에커만 경향(Ackerman Tendency)을 각각 가변시켜주는 좌,우 애커만 어저스터(Ackerman Adjuster)(20,20-1), 좌,우 애커만 어저스터(20,20-1)를 오픈루프제어로직(A)이나 폐루프제어로직(B)으로 제어하는 컨트롤러(30)가 포함되고, 저속 선회 시 선회 외륜에 연결된 타이로드 길이를 늘려 100% 에커만 경향(Anti Ackerman Tendency)으로 설정되는 반면 고속 선회 시 선회 내륜에 연결된 타이로드 길이를 줄여 안티 에커만 경향(Anti Ackerman Tendency)으로 설정함으로써 에커만 경향(Ackerman Tendency)이 차량 주행상태에 따라 항상 최적으로 제어되며, 특히 에커만 경향(Ackerman Tendency)이 좌,우 휠(LW,RW)에 직접 연결된 타이로드엔드(17-1,17-2)의 길이 변화에 의한 선회 메커니즘을 이용함으로써 에커만 경향(Ackerman Tendency)이 초기 설계된 최적 값이 항상 유지되는 특징을 갖는다.
