The present invention relates to a coil dent prevention apparatus for a coil lifter which transports a rolled coil obtained by tying a steel sheet produced in a rolling mill of a steel mill in a coil form to a yard. The coil dent prevention apparatus for a coil lifter comprises: a first distance sensor to measure the distance from the lower surface of a frame of a winding device to the upper surface of the center of a storing skid on which a rolled coil is to be stored or the distance from the lower surface of the frame to the uppermost portion of the outer circumference of a previously stored rolled coil; and a second distance sensor to measure the distance from the lower surface of the frame of the winding device to the uppermost portion of the outer circumference of a descending rolled coil to be stored. The distance between a contact portion of a place where the rolled coil is to be stored and a contact portion of the descending rolled coil for storage is calculated from measurement values of the first and second distance sensors to adjust the descending speed of the rolled coil when the descending rolled coil approaches the contact portion of the storing place to softly place the rolled coil to prevent the rolled coil from colliding to cause damage such as a dent.

    본 발명은 제철소의 압연공장에서 생산된 강판을 코일형태로 묶은 압연코일을 적치장으로 이송하는 코일 리프터의 코일 찍힘 방지 장치에 관한 것으로서, 권상장치의 프레임 저면으로부터 압연코일이 적치될 적치스키드의 중심부 상면까지의 거리 또는 상기 프레임의 저면으로부터 기 적치되어 있는 압연코일 외권부의 최상부까지의 거리를 측정하는 제1거리센서, 권상장치의 프레임 저면으로부터 적치하기 위해 하강중인 압연코일 외권부의 최상부까지의 거리를 측정하는 제2거리센서를 포함하여 구성되고, 상기 제1, 2거리센서의 측정값으로부터 압연코일이 적치될 곳의 접촉부와 적치를 위해 하강중인 압연코일의 접촉부 사이의 거리를 산출하여 하강중인 압연코일이 적치될 곳의 접촉부에 접근하면 압연코일의 하강속도를 조절하여 부드럽게 안착시킴으로써 압연코일이 충돌하여 찍힘 등의 손상이 발생하지 않도록 하는 효과가 있다.
