The present invention relates to an apparatus of charging-discharging a battery, and more particularly, to an apparatus of charging-discharging a battery in an apparatus for charging and discharging a battery having a plurality of battery cells connected in series, so as to allow the battery cells, which have different charge and discharge characteristics due to incomplete match between capacity and internal resistance of each battery cell connected in series, to be uniformly charged. The apparatus of charging-discharging a battery according to the present invention includes: a charging switch connected in series to each battery cell; a bypass switch for short-circuiting both ends of between each battery cell and the charging switch; a voltage sensor for sensing a voltage of each of the battery cells; a current sensor for measuring a charging and discharging current; a power supply apparatus for providing the charging and discharging current; and a controller, wherein in a state in which a plurality of battery cells are connected in series, a balance between the battery cells is implemented by appropriately operating the charging switch and the bypass switch, so that charging and discharging are quickly performed with a low cost and a low loss.

    본 발명은 배터리 충방전 장치에 관한 것으로서 특히 다수의 배터리 셀이 직렬 연결된 배터리를 충방전하는 장치에 있어서, 직렬로 연결되는 각 배터리 셀의 용량 및 내부 저항이 완전히 일치하지 않아 서로 상이한 충방전 특성을 갖는 각 배터리 셀이 균등하게 충전될 수 있도록 하는 배터리 충방전 장치에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 배터리 충방전 장치는 각 배터리 셀에 직렬 연결된 충전 스위치; 상기 각 배터리 셀과 상기 충전 스위치 양단을 단락시키는 바이패스 스위치; 상기 각 배터리 셀의 전압을 센싱하는 전압센서; 충방전 전류를 측정하는 전류센서; 상기 충방전 전류를 제공하는 전원장치; 및 제어기;를 포함하여 다수의 배터리 셀이 직렬 연결된 상태에서 상기 충전 스위치와 상기 바이패스 스위치를 적절하게 조작하여 배터리 셀간의 밸런싱을 하는 것으로 저원가, 저손실, 빠른 충방전을 수행한다.
