The present invention discloses rubber compositions for tire treads. The rubber composition for a tire tread according to the present invention comprises a raw rubber and 50-120 parts by weight of precipitated silica relative to 100 parts by weight of the raw rubber, wherein the precipitated silica is surface-modified with a process aid at a weight ratio of 0.005-0.15, and further comprises an auxiliary reinforcement. In this case, it is possible to prevent an increase in manufacturing costs for equipment change due to application of a high surface area reinforcement and an increase in process time, and at the same time, a blending process according to a viscosity drop can be made smooth, a long-term storage of rubber is easy due to prevention of re-agglomeration of reinforcement. In addition, it is possible to improve tensile properties, rolling resistance, wet road surface braking (wet characteristics), wear characteristics, and handling properties by using rubber with high dispersibility even though it is the high surface area reinforcement. In the present invention, octyltriethoxysilane is used as a process agent at a weight ratio of 0.005-0.15 and is used in surface modification of the precipitated silica.

    본 발명은 타이어 트레드용 고무조성물을 개시한다. 본 발명에 따르는 타이어 트레드용 고무조성물은 원료고무와 상기 원료고무 100 중량부에 대하여 침강실리카 50 내지 120 중량부를 포함하며, 상기 침강실리카는 그 0.005 내지 0.15의 중량비로 하기 화학식 1로 표현되는 공정조제로 표면개질되고, 보조보강재를 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는데, 이에 의할 때, 높은 표면적의 보강재 적용에 따른 설비 변경 및 공정시간 증가에 대한 제조비용을 상승을 방지할 수 있고, 동시에 점도 하락에 따른 배합공정을 원할하게 할 수 있으며, 보강재의 재응집 방지로 고무의 장기보관이 용이하며, 높은 표면적의 보강재 임에도 분산성이 우수한 고무의 사용으로 인장특성, 회전저항, 젖은노면 제동(Wet 특성), 마모특성, 조정성(handling 특성)을 향상시킬 수 있다.
