The present invention provides a center pillar securing rigidity to induce a warping deformation when an impact is applied such that collision impact absorbing and intrusion blocking performance is improved, thereby securing safety performance. The center pillar has a section formed by a pair of side wall parts formed to be vertically extended in order to be coupled to a chassis and protruding in an outdoor direction to face each other and an external part connecting the pair of side wall parts with each other and having rigidity relatively stronger than the side wall parts. The center pillar is formed through a blanking step of cutting a flat plate material to correspond to the outer shape of the center pillar and a hot stamping step of performing heat treatment to a processed product at a high temperature and then, forming the thermally treated product in the shape of the center pillar having the side wall parts and the external part.
본 발명에서는 강성을 확보함과 더불어 충격 발생시 밀림 변형이 유도되도록 하여 충돌 에너지의 흡수 및 침입 저지 성능이 향상됨으로써 안전 성능이 확보된 센터 필러가 소개된다.
