본 발명에 따른, 차량의 배터리(28)를 충전하기 위한 비접촉 급전 장치(100)는 송전 코일(12)을 구비한 송전 회로(101)와, 수전 코일(22)을 구비한 충전 회로(201)를 포함한다. 송전 코일(12)로부터 수전 코일(22)에 비접촉으로 전력이 송전된다. 차량이 급전 장치(100)에 접근하면, 미소 전력으로 송전을 행하는 시험 급전이 실행되고, 송전 회로(101)를 흐르는 전류에 기초하여, 송전 코일(12)로부터 수전 코일(22)에의 송전 효율이 추정된다. 이 송전 효율로부터, 수전 코일(22)이 송전 코일(12)에 대하여 충전 가능한 범위 내에 있는지 판정된다.
