The present invention provides a device for determining a moving direction of a moving object, wherein the device obtains an initial posture value of an underwater moving object about reference coordinates during initial emission based on a direction of a magnetic field generated by a mother object and uses the initial posture value as a reference for control. The present invention comprises the steps of: setting an initial moving direction of a moving object based on information on a direction of a magnetic field if the moving object starts to move; stabilizing posture of the moving object based on information obtained by a first sensor and the initial moving direction; determining a current moving direction of the moving object by compensating for the initial moving direction based on information obtained by a second sensor if the posture of the moving object is stabilized; and displaying the initial moving direction or the current moving direction of the moving object in real time.
