The present invention relates to a main air compressor control circuit for a railway vehicle and, more specifically, relates to a circuit achieving an alternative control of an operation of a main air compressor depending on an operation direction of the railway vehicle to allow the main air compressor to uniformly be used. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the main air compressor control circuit for the railway vehicle has one end (A) and an other end (B) supplying direct current (DC) power, wherein a third line including a front control relay with a contact point is connected to allow connection to a control line of a main air compressor of another vehicle, a fourth line where a second pressure switch and the main air compressor control relay are connected in series, a fifth line branched from the third line of the rear part (on the other end side) of the front control relay′s contact point and including a first pressure switch connected to the fourth line of a front part (on the one end side) of the main air compressor′s control relay, a sixth line where the main air compressor control relay′s contact point and DC voltage control relay′s contact point are connected in series, and a seventh line including a main air compressor contact device is connected. Moreover, the main air compressor motor is connected to three phase (U, V, W) DC lines, a DC voltage control relay is connected to two phase lines of the three-phase DC lines, and each of the three-phase DC lines is connected to the main air compressor motor through the main air compressor contact device′s contact point.
