An objective of the present invention is to provide a vehicle braking method and a system that can distinguish between a flatland and a slope to assign a different pattern of braking power. The vehicle braking method according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a step of detecting the position of the vehicle′s gear shift when starting a vehicle; a step of detecting the vehicle speed when the gear shift is shifted to N, D and R modes; a step of operating a parking brake to brake the vehicle when the vehicle′s speed exceeds a predetermined value; a step of counting the number of braking frequency of the parking brake; a step of releasing the parking brake when it is determined that the vehicle is at a standstill and the number of braking frequency of the parking brake is less than a set value; and a step of keeping the state of the parking brake when the number of braking frequency of the parking brake exceeds the set value.

    본 발명은, 평지와 경사로의 환경을 구분하여 별개의 패턴의 제동력을 부여하는 차량의 제동방법 및 시스템을 제공하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 본 발명의 일 실시예에 의한 차량제동방법은, 차량의 시동 오프시 변속기 위치를 감지하는 과정과변속기 위치가 N, D, R단에 해당하는 경우 상기 차량의 차속을 감지하는 과정과 차속이 설정치 이상에 해당하는 경우 주차브레이크를 동작하여 차량을 제동하는 과정과 주차브레이크의 동작 횟수를 카운트하는 과정과 차량이 정지한 것으로 판단되고 주차브레이크의 동작 횟수가 설정치 미만인 경우 주차브레이크를 해제하는 과정 및 주차브레이크의 동작 횟수가 설정치 이상인 경우 주차브레이크의 동작상태를 유지하는 과정을 포함하는 것일 수 있다.
