To absorb collision energy by hindering fracture of a pillar using a fiber-reinforced resin composite material in the event of side collision and by plastically deforming the pillar.SOLUTION: A vehicle body pillar structure using a fiber-reinforced resin composite material includes: at least two tubular portions made of a fiber-reinforced resin and having an axis along a vehicle body height direction; and a metal plate disposed between any two tubular portions arranged in a vehicle body front-rear direction and extending along the vehicle body height direction and a vehicle width direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
