To solve the following problem: in a conventional vehicle body structure using foam material, a non-charging region of foam material in a narrow region is easy to generate and hence variations in the stiffness of the vehicle body structure may occur.SOLUTION: In a pillar structure 10 of a vehicle body, a clearance 33 for charging foam material 34 is generated between an outer panel 31 and a reinforcement 32. On the upward side in the vicinity of an arrangement region of a hinge hole 18, a damming member 22 of the foam material 34 is arranged in the clearance 33. In a charging region of the foam material 34 of the clearance 33, clearance widths W1, W2 of the clearance 33 are ensured by at least a fixed thickness. This structure can prevent generation of a non-charging region in the charging region and achieve desired stiffness and strength of the pillar structure 10 of the vehicle body as well as weight saving of a vehicle 11.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
【課題】従来の発泡材を用いた車体の構造では、狭小領域における発泡材の未充填領域が発生し易く、車体構造の剛性等にばらつきが発生する恐れがあるという課題があった。【解決手段】本発明の車体のピラー構造10では、アウタパネル31とリンフォース32との間に発泡材34を充填するための隙間33が形成され、ヒンジ穴18の配設領域近傍の上方側には、隙間33内に発泡材34の堰き止め部材22が配設されている。そして、隙間33の発泡材34の充填領域では、隙間33の隙間幅W1,W2が、一定厚み以上確保されている。この構造により、上記充填領域では、未充填領域の発生が防止され、車体のピラー構造10の所望の剛性や強度が実現されると共に、車両11の軽量化も実現される。【選択図】図2
