To provide a traveling unit which can reduce manufacturing costs and maintenance frequency and ease harmful effects from the outside, such as impacts and foreign objects, with a simple structure and has high flexibility of the layout of the device.SOLUTION: A traveling unit 100 has: a body 110; a pair of left and right swing arms 120 each provided so as to be swingable around a swing shaft 111; and wheels 125 and buffer members 121 provided at the swing arms 120. Buffer members 121 have a fluid therein and are provided corresponding to the pair of left and right swing arms 120. One end of each of the buffer members 121 is connected to the body 110 and the other ends of the buffer members are connected to the pair of left and right swing arms 120. The traveling unit is provided with communication pipes 131 each of which is connected to the buffer member 121 and allows the fluid in the communication pipe and the buffer member 121 to flow therethrough.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
