To provide a liquid pressure generator using an electric motor as a pressurization source in which a rotation angle sensor is suitably arranged.SOLUTION: A liquid pressure generator PS is composed of an electric motor MT for outputting first rotational power Tm, a reduction gear GS for decelerating the first rotational power Tm, and outputting second rotational power Tn, and a conversion mechanism GH for converting the second rotational power Tn into linear power Fn, and adjusts a liquid pressure Pc of a cylinder CC by moving a piston NC inserted into the cylinder CC by the linear power. The liquid pressure generator PS includes a rotation angle sensor KA for detecting a rotation angle Ka of a shaft SM of the electric motor MT, and a partition member SK for separating insides of the electric motor MT and a housing HG for holding the reduction gear GS into a first chamber Ra for storing the electric motor MT and a second chamber Rb for storing the reduction gear GS. The rotation angle sensor KA is arranged between a coil CL of the electric motor MT and the partition member SK, in the first chamber Ra.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
