To provide an insulator used in a capacitive sensor for a curved surface which improves chemical resistance and also has good flexibility, and a capacitive sensor having the insulator.SOLUTION: An insulator used in a capacitive sensor for a curved surface includes a second thermocompression layer, a central layer laminated on the second thermocompression layer, and a first thermocompression layer laminated on the central layer, wherein the first thermocompression layer and the second thermocompression layer are each formed of a thermoplastic resin having a crosslinked structure and lacking COOH and OH groups, and the central layer is formed of an insulative thermoplastic resin which is softer than the thermoplastic resin of the first thermocompression layer and the second thermocompression layer, and has a crosslinked structure.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3

    【課題】曲面用静電容量式センサに用いる絶縁体であって、耐薬品性が向上され、且つ柔軟性も良好な絶縁体、及びそれを備える静電容量式センサを得ること。【解決手段】絶縁体は、曲面用静電容量式センサで使用する絶縁体であって、第2の熱圧着層と、前記第2の熱圧着層上に積層された中心層と、前記中心層上に積層された第1の熱圧着層と、を備え、前記第1の熱圧着層及び前記第2の熱圧着層は、それぞれ架橋構造を有しCOOH基及びOH基を有しない熱可塑性樹脂で形成され、前記中心層は、前記第1の熱圧着層及び前記第2の熱圧着層の熱可塑性樹脂よりも柔らかく、架橋構造を有する絶縁性の熱可塑性樹脂で形成される。【選択図】図3
