To accurately grasp a traffic congestion state in real time with a simpler configuration.SOLUTION: A traffic congestion prediction device 1 for predicting traffic congestion of a road existing over a plurality of communication areas A1 to An includes: a collection unit 10 configured to collect the number of position registration signals from a vehicle moving on the road received by respective base stations BS1 to BSn of respective communication areas A1 to An that cover respective sections constituting the road; a classification unit 14 configured so as to provide the number of position registration signals received at each of the base stations BS1 to BSn to a learned classifier as an unknown input to output a classification class related to a value of a deceleration rate N of speed of the vehicle by performing operation of the learned classifier; and a presentation unit 15 configured so as to present presence/absence of congestion of the road based on the classification class output by the classification unit 14.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】より簡易な構成で高精度かつリアルタイムに渋滞状況を把握することを目的とする。【解決手段】複数の通信エリアA1~Anにわたって存在する道路の渋滞を予測する渋滞予測装置1であって、道路を構成する各区間をカバーする各通信エリアA1~Anの各基地局BS1~BSnで受信された、道路を移動する車両からの位置登録信号の数を収集するように構成された収集部10と、各基地局BS1~BSnで受信された位置登録信号の数を未知の入力として学習済みの分類器に与え、学習済みの分類器の演算を行って、車両の速度の減速割合Nの値に関する分類クラスを出力するように構成された分類部14と、分類部14が出力した分類クラスに基づいて、道路の渋滞の有無を提示するように構成された提示部15とを備える。【選択図】図1
