PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize highly accurate traffic congestion prediction.SOLUTION: A traffic congestion prediction apparatus 100 identifies a link at which a probe vehicle passing through each link is present after predicted time as a moving destination link, and calculates a presence probability at which the probe vehicle passing through each link is present at the link after the predicted time based on the identified moving destination link in advance. The traffic congestion prediction apparatus calculates a predicted number of vehicles present at each link after the predicted time from a number of currently present vehicles and the presence probability, and predicts a traffic congestion after the predicted time.

    【課題】高精度な渋滞予測をすることを目的とする。【解決手段】渋滞予測装置100は、各リンクについて、そのリンクを通過したプローブ車が、予測時間後に存在するリンクを移動先リンクとして特定し、特定した移動先リンクに基づき、各リンクを通過したプローブ車が、予測時間後に各リンクに存在する存在確率を計算しておく。渋滞予測装置100は、現在の自動車の存在数と、存在確率とから、予測時間後に各リンクに存在する自動車の予測数を計算し、予測時間後の渋滞予測をする。【選択図】図1
