To provide a continuously variable transmission which can prevent failure caused by foreign objects entering and/or approaching a parking gear.SOLUTION: A continuously variable transmission 10 includes, in a transmission case 11, a drive pulley 16 and a driven pulley 17, a metallic belt 18 wound around the drive pulley 16 and the driven pulley 17, a parking gear 21 provided at a fixed-side pulley half body 19 of the driven pulley 17, a parking pawl 23, a parking rod 25, and a guide member 28. The continuously variable transmission transmits a driving force from a driving source to wheels while changing a transmission ratio by changing groove widths of the drive pulley 16 and the driven pulley 17. The transmission case 11 includes: a guide support part 12c supporting the guide member 28; and an auxiliary rib 54 extending from the guide support part 12c and formed so that a gap formed between the auxiliary rib 54 and the drive pulley 16 is smaller than or equal to a predetermined width.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
