To manufacture a resin wheel having an integrated rim portion and disk portion with good moldability in an extremely short time.SOLUTION: In a method of manufacturing a resin wheel, for molding a material 11 made of a thermoplastic fiber reinforced resin in a mold 31, the mold 31 is set to a temperature lower than a melting point of a resin matrix of the material 11. For the material 11, a billet-like material 11b and a sheet-like material 11a are prepared, and the material is heated to a temperature higher than a melting point of those resin matrix. The heated billet-like material 11b is held in the mold 31 surrounded by a disc outer surface mold 32 and a rim outer diameter mold 33, and the sheet-like material 11a is held on a surface of a punching mold 34 side in the rim outer diameter mold 33. A portion of the sheet-like material 11a is pressed against the billet-like material 11b while a punching mold 34 is lowered to deep draw mold the sheet-like material 11a to form a rim portion of the wheel, to join them together, and the billet-like material 11b is compression formed to form a disc portion of the wheel.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】リム部分とディスク部分が一体の樹脂製ホイールを成形性よく極短時間で製造する。【解決手段】熱可塑性繊維強化樹脂からなる素材11を金型31で成形する樹脂製ホイールの製法において、金型31を素材11の樹脂マトリックスの溶融点よりも低い温度に設定する。素材11としてビレット状素材11bとシート状素材11aを用意して、それらの樹脂マトリックスの溶融点より高い温度に加熱する。加熱したビレット状素材11bをディスク外面金型32とリム外径金型33に囲まれた金型31内に保持し、シート状素材11aをリム外径金型33におけるパンチ金型34側の面に保持する。パンチ金型34を降下させてシート状素材11aを深絞り成形してホイールのリム部分を形成しつつ、シート状素材11aの一部をビレット状素材11bに押し付けて両者を接合するとともに、ビレット状素材11bを圧縮成形してホイールのディスク部分を形成する。【選択図】図1
