To provide an automatic charging robot capable of performing charging while securing a waterproof performance.SOLUTION: An automatic charging robot 10 comprises a charge unit 11, a protection unit 12 and a control unit 13. The charge unit 11 performs contact type charging of the automatic charging robot 10. The protection unit 12 protects the charge unit 11. In a state where the automatic charging robot 10 autonomously travels to a charging point and the charging is performed from the charge unit 11, the control unit 13 performs control to open the protection unit 12 and perform the charging.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
