To enable hot gas heating operation to smoothly transfer to heat absorbing/heating operation, by removing frost formed on an external heat exchange part while executing hot gas heating.SOLUTION: A vehicular air conditioner is provided with a control device that controls a refrigerant circuit and an air conditioning unit, where the refrigerant circuit has a hot gas bypass. The control device can selectively execute hot gas heating operation by which a refrigerant is prevented from absorbing heat in an external heat exchange part and heat of a portion of a refrigerant compressed by a compressor is radiated in an indoor heat exchange part to heat a vehicle interior and heat absorbing/heating operation by which the refrigerant is allowed to absorb heat in the external heat exchange part, which removes frost formed on the external heat exchange part, by flowing the refrigerant flowing through the indoor heat exchange part to the external heat exchange part, while executing the hot gas heating operation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
