To separate longitudinal spring rigidity of a pneumatic tire into a longitudinal spring constant caused by tread rubber and a longitudinal spring constant caused by a case structure.SOLUTION: A rigidity evaluation method includes: a first step S1 of applying a load to a pneumatic tire that is built into a rim and is filled with internal pressure in a first direction and pressing a tread part to a test surface; a second step S2 of detecting a load, and displacement in a first direction operating on a tire shaft of the pneumatic tire; and a third step S3 of calculating a first longitudinal spring constant caused by tread rubber of the pneumatic tire and a second longitudinal spring constant caused of a case structure on the basis of a load and displacement.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
