To provide a gate horizontally holding device that has high versatility and can be efficiently reduced in weight.SOLUTION: A gate horizontally holding device 10 for horizontally holding a gate 5 by its being stretched between a gate 5 of a load-carrying platform 3 and a vehicle body component 8, includes: a plurality of fiber slings 20 (a vehicle-body-side sling 21 and a gate-side sling 25) formed of a fiber belt and connected in order in a device length direction; an intermediate connecting structure 30 that mutually connects the vehicle-body-side sling 21 and the gate-side sling 25, which are adjacent to each other in the device length direction. The intermediate connection structure 30 includes a first ring member 31 and a second ring member 32 heavier than the fiber belt per unit length in the device length direction, and the vehicle-body-side sling 21 and the gate-side sling 25 are mutually connected via the first ring member 31 and the second ring member 32.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
