To provide a shifting apparatus that can reduce operational errors.SOLUTION: A shifting apparatus 20 comprises: a shift switch 22 that provides an operation instruction by contact of an operating hand F; an electrostatic sensor 24 as an approach sensing unit that senses the approach of the operating hand F toward the shift switch 22; and a light output unit 26 as a notification unit that, on the basis of sensing information from the electrostatic sensor 24, makes a notification that the operating hand F has approached toward the shift switch 22. This structure can prevent operational errors of pressing the shift switch incorrectly.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
